ur recent event at WithinSodo – an excellent new wedding and events venue in Seattle that infuses the industrial charm of an old metal shop with its contemporary renovation- is a great platform to discuss Red Plate Catering’s attention to detail. We don’t see ourselves as just foodies, we believe that what we do is about facilitating a full experience that uses all the senses (or at least as many possible, our Chef is yet to figure out a recipe for whistling beef!). For this reason, we take great pride in appearance. When we place the plate in front of your wedding guest, we do it in a clean pressed shirt, black vest, and (of course) red tie. When we circle the room with heavy hors d’oeuvres in hand, we do it with a smile. And when we make a spread, we make it art, so you can start enjoying that green curry shrimp wonton cup from from the moment you spot it across the room.

When Executive Chef Sean Pal’s pulls out all the stops for heavy hors d’oeuvres at your catered corporate cocktail party in Seattle, it’s all hands on deck to drizzle every drop of aged balsamic, measure every pinch of of pistachio, and place every little leaf of micro basil. (Roasted beet with aged balsamic, pistachio and micro basil shown above). Or how about our asian style mushrooms in fried wonton cups…are they smokey and soft in your mouth? You betcha! But we also really like they way they mirror themselves on our pristine black marble serving platform.

And speaking of serving platforms, if you’re going to set out an antipasto platter with cured Italian meats, ciliegine mozzarella, grilled zucchini and squash, roasted red peppers, marinated artichoke hearts, roasted garlic, kalamata olives, pepperoncini, and pickled onions…it definitely tastes better when nibbled off an aged wood plank. As for the gluten free raspberry almond shortbread with cherry coulis, I think you can agree that sliding your slice off the cross-section of a tree, that is our acacia wood serving board, takes it to the next level. Seattle is a city of art, and whether it’s for your corporate or private catered lunch, dinner, desert or cocktail party…we’ll make you look like a rockstar by bringing not just the food, but the class.
